What we collect
When you register as a candidate or send us an enquiry, we collect the details you provide: your name, contact details, trade, qualifications and tickets, postcode, and your CV if you choose to share it. If you are a client, we collect your name, company and contact details.
Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
We use candidate information to match you with suitable roles, confirm your qualifications, and contact you about work. We use client information to respond to enquiries and manage recruitment assignments. We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for marketing.
Our lawful basis for processing under UK GDPR is legitimate interests: running a recruitment business, matching work-seekers to suitable roles and responding to enquiries. We have considered your rights and believe this is what you would reasonably expect when registering with a recruitment agency or contacting us about hiring. Where we take steps at your request before entering into a contract, such as arranging a placement, our basis is performance of a contract. Where we must keep records by law, our basis is legal obligation. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests at any time using the contact details below.
Where your information is processed
This website is hosted by a web hosting provider, and information you submit through the forms is processed by that provider on our behalf before it reaches us. Some providers store or process data on servers outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that is the case, the transfer is covered by safeguards approved for UK transfers, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision. Ask us and we will tell you which providers we use and what safeguards are in place.
Who we share it with
Candidate details are shared with hiring clients only as part of putting you forward for a role, and wherever practical we will tell you before doing so. We may also share information with service providers who help us run the business (such as payroll), under contract, and where the law requires it.
How long we keep it (retention)
We keep candidate records, including CVs, for as long as we have an ongoing working relationship with you and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can contact you about suitable work. We review records at least annually and delete information we no longer need. Records we are required to keep by law, such as those relating to placements and payments, are kept for the period the law requires. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it is used.
